ETE is providing turbidity monitoring services for the Wiggins Pass dredge project.  The Wiggins Pass project is complex because it involves proximity to sea grass and nearshore hard bottom areas.  ETE is tasked with make sure that dredging activities don’t produce turbidity (siltation) in that water at levels higher than the FDEP permits allow.  Too much siltation could be harmful to both seagrass and hard bottom areas.

It’s not uncommon for us to have “friends” around the boat while we are monitoring.
