Phase 1 Environmental Assessment
ETE conducted a standard ASTM phase 1 environmental assessment of the golf course property to rule out any historic environmental impacts from activities on the property or surrounding properties.
Soil & Groundwater Testing
ETE performed a limited soil and groundwater assessment for the Golden Gate Golf Course. Soil sampling was conducted in conformance with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Standard Operating Procedures. Five (5) soil sample locations were chosen in depressional areas throughout the golf course to determine the subsurface conditions where herbicides/pesticides/fertilizers would collect from surface water runoff. Six (6) samples were obtained from the maintenance area to assess potential impacts from past chemical storage and usage. For groundwater sampling, three (3) temporary wells were installed, purged, and sampled.

Environmental Permitting
ETE is honored to be on the team selected for design and permitting of the Golden Gate Golf Course. The winning consulting team included Davidson Engineering, ETE, Populous, and Parker-Mudgett & Smith Architects. As part of this team, ETE will assist with site planning, Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP), a golf course conversion, and listed species assessments.
