Burrowing Owl Permitting Through FWC

Burrowing owl permitting through the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). ETE will submit for an incidental take (for burrows) permit through FWC- migratory nest removal permit. OWNER is responsible for any FWC required permitting fees or mitigation associated with the permit application. Mitigation is currently $1900 per burrow CLUSTER and is paid by the owner to the Florida Mitigation Fund. Mitigation Fee must be paid by owner once permit is issued and prior to collapsing burrows.
Note: FWC will not allow the burrow permits to be executed without local government approval (County, City of Marco, City of Cape Coral) in the form of a building permit or similar. This permitting task requires an owl burrow survey less than 6 months old or ETE can update the survey for permitting at an additional cost. Once approval has been received from FWC, there will be a trip charge to execute the permit \ collapse burrows. This is typically $200, depending on location.
