Protected Species Survey for ERP Permitting or Due Diligence Purposes

Earth Tech Environmental (ETE) will conduct a general purpose protected species survey on the subject property according to agency criteria. The purpose of this protected species is to determine the potential presence of state and federally listed species. This task includes performing pedestrian transects within the boundaries of the project site. The distance between the transects will be established to cover a minimum of 80% of each area surveyed. Locations of active and inactive gopher tortoise burrows, cavities, or nest structures will be flagged in the field, and GPS survey located. For permit reviews involving Florida Bonneted Bats, ETE will scope all observed cavities on the property according to USFWS criteria. Earth Tech Environmental will prepare a report summarizing the findings that can be submitted for agency review.
