Water Level Monitoring
Another consulting service that ETE routinely provides to clients is water level monitoring. ETE installs shallow monitoring wells allowing communities and property owners to track groundwater levels in preserves or on vacant land. Water level data can be used as a tool in determining jurisdictional wetland limits or can be helpful in making water management or preserve management decisions. Our auto-logging devices can be set to take multiple water level readings per day. We often compare these readings to local rainfall data as shown in the exhibit below; as land managers we can see the impact of each storm event on groundwater levels.
