Doctors Pass
ETE is providing turbidity monitoring for the Doctors Pass south jetty and erosion control structures project. Water samples are taken 3 times a day to monitor for any exceedance to permitted levels of turbidity as a result of the construction project. Background and compliance samples are taken for each sampling event and compared to assess turbidity associated with the project. If any samples exceed permitted rates, the contractor is notified to stop construction until the source of the turbidity can be determined and fixed. Maps and sample forms are submitted to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) weekly.
