Date of Service: 2009 to Present

ETE ecologists have been providing various environmental and biological services at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2009.  ETE ecologists provide field oversight and Eastern Indigo snake monitoring during mechanical mowing activities within preservation areas in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Permit and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Biological Opinion.  Prior to the site clearing activities within the Solar Field area, ETE conducted Eastern Indigo snake training with all construction personnel and provided educational snake material.  ETE ecologists have conducted annual Eastern Indigo snake monitoring since 2009.  In 2014, ETE conducted an environmental & exotic vegetation mapping event within FGCU property.  ETE located exotic vegetation, preserve trails, bird nests, burrows, fuel reduction areas, and scientific study plots.  Using the field collected data, ETE created a master GIS map that included all collected features as layers and presented to the results to FGCU staff.
