Cane Toad Removal

Earth Tech Environmental has been hired by a local residential community to assist in control of non-native cane toads.  The cane toad (also known as the giant or marine toad) is a large, nonnative amphibian that has been introduced to Florida.  When confronted by predator cane toads excrete bufo toxin from the glands on their backs in the form of white viscous venom. The secretions are highly toxic to dogs, cats, and other animals, and can cause skin irritation in humans.  Our client has seen a population explosion of cane toads throughout their common areas and asked for assistance.  ETE ecologists perform capture events several times a year in order to control the cane toad population.
