North Naples Fire Control & Rescue District

ETE’s North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District contract involves Fire Stations No. 44 and 46. In 2012, ETE ecologists conducted a field investigation to determine the presence of exotic plants and protected wildlife species for the purpose of resolving a Collier County code violation due to coverage of exotics within the Station No. 44 preserve. Services provided included preserve enhancement & restoration, ecological and biological surveys, Collier County permitting, SFWMD coordination, GIS mapping for wildlife and exotic vegetation, and wetland delineation ETE ecologists coordinated with South Florida Water Management System and Collier County in the field to discuss preserve management activities and resolve the previously documented issues. ETE provided initial exotic eradication at both stations and is currently providing quarterly preserve maintenance. The preserves at Fire Station No. 44 and 46 are currently exotic free and are in compliance with the SFWMD and Collier County.
